Club Doncaster is the brand that connects Doncaster’s elite sports teams and manages the delivery of events at Doncaster’s Eco-Power Stadium, and associated Elite Performance Centre and Sports Park.

We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and calm, Duty Manager, to work as a part of a small team across the stadium pitches and stadium foot print. Whilst on shift the person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of onsite activities from the Operations department perspective, and will be based in the CDA facilities (outdoor pitch venue).

Applicants should be hard working, committed and have a keen interest in growing the Club Doncaster reputation and brand across all sports and the local community.

The Role

The Duty Manager will be responsible for the facility management and operational aspect of the pitches and activity usage of the facility whilst on shift. They will work in conjunction with an opposite person within the same role covering during evenings and weekends covering on average 25 hours per week.

The successful applicant will be supported by a small team of front customer-facing workers, and they will be required to demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain all areas of the stadium and its execution to the highest standard of service at all times.

Successful applicants should have experience in supervising a leisure facility, or elite sports environment, and be able to support the growth and sustainability of the department to its fullest potential grasping new opportunities and maintaining excellent existing relationships.

Skills required

  • Experience of leisure supervision within a similar facility or demonstrable experience within an elite sporting environment.
  • Experience in delivering a high level of customer service  
  • Awareness of the local area demographic, and usage of the stadium
  • Ability to manage conflicting and changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in maintenance and domestics tasks  
  • Experience in sports development processes

Personal qualities

  • Be able to work in a professional and responsible manner when dealing with a variety of Management levels and departments.
  • Punctual and have an excellent record of attendance.
  • Willing to learn and committed to achieving high standards within their work.
  • Good leadership skills
  • Flexible in their approach to working hours
  • Ability to manage and maintain excellent external and internal working relationships
