Ben Bottomley is looking to make up for lost time after extending his stay at Rovers.
The goalkeeper has signed a new one-year deal and is determined to push hard for first team appearances after enduring injury frustration last season.
The 20-year-old suffered a damaged finger which sidelined him for several months and denied him opportunities that would have come to be part of matchday squads at the very least.
"It was disappointing because I think if I hadn't got the injury, I could maybe have played," he said.
"I'm going to do a lot of training with Steve [Hernandez, head of Academy goalkeeping] and get in the gym before pre-season starts to make sure I'm ready. Hopefully next season I can make my debut and play in front of the fans."
