Craig Hicks has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Stevenage on Tuesday.
The Surrey official has taken charge of 29 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One. He has issued 98 yellow cards and one red across those games.
This will be his first outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game but he previously handled them on four occasions over the last five seasons.
His most recent game involving Rovers was last season's 3-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the Eco-Power Stadium. Of the four matches, Rovers won two.
Hicks will be assisted by Mark Jones and Paul Evans on Tuesday while James Durkin has been assigned fourth official duties.
